Battery charge time??

Aright guys,

Just ordered a new battery for the Honda (original is fooked!!) and wondered how long it should be charged for initailly?? Should it tell me when it arrives or is there a standard time for acid batteries???

Cant you just pop it it on the Optimate andi, that will have a Vt cut off on it.

I don't know whether it just needs a trickle charge or a full blown charge??? And for how long:dunno:dunno

If it was mine i would charge it with a normal car charger for 6 hours on low charge and then optimate it overnight.

They are normally dry charged, so when you add acid, it is fully charged.

But to be safe, leave it on a trickle charger overnight, then fit it, and it will be fine.

Ah Beanie, the guy did say it was "dry charged" but had no idea what that meant!!

in the 1.5 years I've had the RSVr I had to buy 4 batteries, so charge the battery whenever you can, just leave it charging until you ride it.
