stopped for a brew , boom would NOT start up again !! just click click click.
do they have alternators like cars ? i thought the battery charges as the bike is being ridden ?

anyway a car had jump cables in the boot , jumped the battery and got home to put her on the optimate for a week ...
then i noticed theres no oil in the fukker !! no light came on either , got serviced 3 month ago (when i first got it) !! is this normal >> ??

aye though looks like that may seriously be the battey problem ...gonna have a look tomoz !!

Like Grin I don't want to look at the BC. No oil in my book is a bit more serious, maybe there's a cut off low oil level switch but if the relays are clicking and it's not turning over that sounds like the battery not having enough power. M8 check yer oil level more offten.:thumbup

no oil in the sight tube dont mean theres no oil in it...

dont forget you can only realy check oil level after youve been running for 30min..

its gonna piss down tomorrow so.. check check check again.

are you guys topping up oil more often than u think u shud ???
it may be just the way vtwins are (this my first)
:dunno

...still got warranty i may let them check it out....

chris, there's a thread about using oil recently.
V twins do use oil, some stop as the miles build, mine has 13k on and still uses oil. I check it after 250 miles and top it up then. Always check it after a good run, have the bike upright, some keep the engine running, or just after turning off, keep level just below full mark

KTM's go through 1L per 1000 miles usually.

Tuono's are pussycats compared to KTM's for oil use :)
