nice, what trips have you gone on Tom. Are you out near the Seattle area? what's the riding like out in that area?

Hey crash...

Yeah, I'm NE of the big lake from Seattle... rural unincorporated King County. I work down the street from the main Microsoft campus, where there is some great machinery, but sadly often owned by the type of people that should NOT be allowed to have the keys!!! heh...

Just east of me is the Cascade range, and across Puget Sound (ferries are great, bikes on first/off first) is the Olympic penninsula and the Olympic range... then you get real wet in the Pacific if you don't stop.

Once one gets out of the Metropolis things get better (sUrPrIsE!) and there are some fantastic opportunities for whatever one wants to do, pretty much EXCEPT go in a straight line for very long!

As well, not much snow, some nasty (heavy) rain at times, other than that it's possible to ride year-round... if you're part fish, that is.

I just passed 18k miles, and plan on at least another 4k this summer.

sounds like a decent place to have a bike Tom. my best friend lives in Seattle, we were just out there for his wedding. I loved the city, but it didn't seem like the kind of place you'd want to ride in...lot's of "interesting road interpretations" as he liked to call them, and of course the rain. I know NESBA runs out there, is there a few tracks then?
