Good Evening all ,

Just fitted some bar end mirrors to my Tuono could anyone tell me if Mr Plod will like them or if they will pull me over at every opertunity..

Please help as Notts police have just launched Operation Retina to make bikers more aware of what they are doing and a friend of mine has already been pulled over and told to make some changes to his R6

Thanks All

i will check but i think MOT regs say if there fitted they have to work,so you cant have the housing on there with no glass for a mot,but if you took the housing off your ok....

so i think your cool as yours are there and work,as for legal requirement I'm not sure ...another will chime in if i am wrong and i will try to check regs sunday....

Why on earth do you think the police would mind your bar end mirrors? There's quite a few bikes that are made with them at the moment, Ducati Hypermotard to name one, some KTM's etc.

At first it is a little off putting as it is only a small area to be looking at compared to the originals. Once you get past this very minor detail then they are the biz. With a little modification to the inside of the bars then you only get a very little amount of vibration. Hoping to have some pictures posted in the next hour if you are intrested in looking.

Having problems with photos as photobucket website is "Undergoing Maintenance" at the moment.
The vibration issue is easy : all you have to do is put a piece of sandpaper with the rough edge against the inner threads inside the bar and when the expander piece on the mirrors pulls out then the sandpaper grips the mirror and makes it a very tight fit. Just remember that when you tighten the mirrors put plenty of pressure against the mirror fixing plate(bar end weight) so that you get a very nice tight fit. If you don't then you will find that between the bar end and the handle bar grip you will get a nasty looking 3mm gap.

Here are the pics
