balanced throttle bodies - DIY??

O

OZMILLE

Hi guys

Soon to be changing the throttle bodies over on my 99 RSV, going from 51mm to some special 57's thanks to DR ROSSI :thumbup

Just wondering once its all back together, as I keep hearing that having them checked/balanced is a good thing.

MY QUESTION

Whats involved in this as far as tools/time etc, can it be done by your average (ok less than average backyarder) with some help or is it more involved??

Cheers Guys

Did the same job a couple of weeks ago from the man.

Very easy to do but when you have the body off make sure you cover up or anything can drop into the inside of the engine.

Dr Rossi said they would all be set up and it runs and ticks over fine.

there are only 2 jubilee clips that hold them on.

The only bit I didn't like was the fitting of the injector connections so in the end I spoke to Griff and he has the conversion link wires cost was round about £22 but you can fit them without.

Does pull well but that might be because of the Chip that he supplied with it but to fit his chip I had to take the scrambler out or it would not start or run the fuel pump.

Hope that helps you buddy

Mate, that all went over my head :confused

They will be coming from DR ROSSI as a plug and play as he has done all the connectors to suit my 99. Mate, excuse my ignorance but what is a scrambler??

Cheers Pete

Between the Eprom and the main board there is sometimes another printed circuit board between the 2 all you do is take that out and plug the eprom straight into the main board.

So if there is a 2nd board in between it will need to be taken out.

Alain has made the connectors so they will fit but I was not that happy with the fit so that was why I bought the other bits from Griff.
