Handed in my lovely 2.5yr old black ZX636 today. Bought a big black new Tuono R. Mainly 'cos I'm an old codger who's suffering with neck and shoulder probs. (ZX6 itis). It was pissing down and coming home on new tyres and new brakes and a new bike was a tad stressfull! It and I have now done 19 miles! Didn't realise how much engine braking the thing had!
Was in Aberystwyth last weekend and saw seven Tuonos together on the front. Told 'em I'd bought one, they seemed to think I'd done the right thing? Time will tell - missing my ZX6 already but have to say this Tuono thing seems to be slow - then I looked at the speedo. I'll have to be carefull!
If it stops raining I'll try and get to know it a bit more.
Last blast on the ZX6 was track day at Silverstone Bank Holiday Monday, had a a ball. Will the big 'T be as good? Certainly be different.
Updates to follow!

Ooooh yes, now i thought the same thing bout it being slow... then i went out for a blat with a couple of mates who usually are as quick as me,,,,, left em for dead :lol they are both looking at getting the big T in the spring.
Whilst i was running mine in a bloke who was riding behind me through the twistys on a Z750, caught up at a road juntion and said 'Bloody hell mate them 'prilias are quick' didn't have the heart to tell him i hadn't gone over 6000 rpm.
Sick with it wacker it do take a bit to adjust to riding a twin after years on Jap fours.

Yes whacker as you grow to love it, it will start to surprise not only you but the *** bike riders also will be shocked.... They just dont believe the T is as good as it is..... youcan throw her around, lean her over, stand her up, never get tired or sore wrists & arms, but you will destroy tyres and love every second of it..... Its great sitting behind and then going past the Jap bikes....

Thanks guys. Was gonna get Aprilia bigger screen -bloody expensive £124 ???? Skidmarx do 'em (tall flip for about £60) - any one tried one? Does it help?

yup i got the Power Bronze screen, not sure but i think it was bout 50ish is ok fits well and looks ok. gives just that extra wind break that ya need.

Hiya Wacker, welcome to the Darkside:beerchug:thumbup

Were you with your Mrs at Aberystwyth? We were sat on the seafront at the coffeeshop.....welcome to the club m8. A couple of us are from near Abergavenny, the rest were from all over:yes

So where you from? which dealer are you using?

Hi m8, yup that was me - I was the little fat bald one! Live N/E Birmingham - Erdington, my cousin lives in Aberystwyth but when visiting her with better half, alcohol consumption precludes the use of big 'T'. Speedaway in Blackheath is dealer. Just had first service, today - you were right, I love this thing. As I said, kept in touch on ride into Wales last Sunday, still running in! Pals reckon I'm quicker on this than beloved ZX636. certainly chucking it about more (chicken strips have vanished!) I'll have to calm down a little! Good fun though?
