Had the bike checked this morning to make sure it was on map 2 and it was , throttle bodies also fine so i will just have to get use to the lumpy bugger :big grin or fit power commander eventually .

How lumpy is it? Mine is not entirely smooth at low revs, but I think thats because it is a V twin, not an inline 4, and I'm used to it.
A power commander and a good map should smooth it out, but its how much do you want to spend?

I suspect its no worse than any other one GF , and i have been on IL4's for a while so will get use to it. wouldn't buy a new power commander but I've had them on a few bikes in the past and they always improve things so something for the future maybe.

R, I thought the same aboot gettin a PC111 fir ma T. In the end I got used to it and just rode round it.

R, this time of year ain't exactly the best to find oot whit a snarling beast the T can be with warm dry roads. I got ma T in Dec 08 and the weather wis utter ****, I can't explain whit it feels like to have a brand new factory sittin in yer garage and yer cannae get oot on it. :cool3:cool::colgate:beer2:sigh:)

Patience mucker. :thumbup

i cant believe you find it lumpy, i think as v twins go it's really pretty smooth, a million miles smoother than my ducati st4 !
If it's your first v then i'm sure you'll get used to it pretty quick..........with a big grin on yer chops !!

I think Aldo is spot on , please don't get me wrong Dave , i love the bike and i had a mille before but it was a while back so i kind of knew what to expect . i will leave well alone for now and just get out when i can . I'm still getting to know the bike .

Agreed,...those older Ducati Desmoquatro engines are right lumpy old *******s.My old 996 was the worst. The later Testastretta (998,999) bikes were way smoother.
My T feels pretty smooth in comparison. The lowered gearing helps too.
