First off thanks everyone for your help before i went :thumbup

4 days touring :devious Brittany with a Buell, fazer and a Tuono.

AMAZING

MASSIVE THANKS TO TIM & ANDY AT SOUTHERN CROSS YOU LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE

:hail:hail:hail:hail:hail:hail:hail

For those that have followed my plight, clutch was slipping on my 2000 mille after fitting a Renegade air box. Many weeks later and a new pressure plate (thanks CK) and thought it was fixed :doug, wrong.
Oil change (twice!! stupid 10/40) and the day before going away after having a new exhaust custom made i rang southern cross to see if they could fit the bike in on thursday (sail 8pm thur night) which they did.

Set off at 6am to get to southern for 9. Got there was handed a coffee :thumbup, my mates bikes were put in the lockup, we got changed in the tea room nd dumped all our gear including luggage there and headed into the big smoke to meet a mate.

Just over an hour later the bikes fixed, then Tim asked me if i wanted the suspension setting up.....

France + Suspension set up = :roost

Got on tube and when i got off i had a message to say there was some issues :eek2. Rang tim and he ran through it.

Rear swingarm bolt was held on by the cover only, no nut. life or death by a bolt and a plastic cover, felt like a right :jack as i had ridden 200 miles to get there and used bike all week for work. Rear sprocket bolts were loose aswell. Needless to say they fixed it all and the price was very good. Southern cross for me in the future, the guys are legends. Big thanks guys your customer service was second to none :flip

Got to france and the roads are like billiard tables, amazing and virtually deserted, didnt see a copper whilst we were there!!!! Bike handled amazing and never missed a beat. Some amazing sweeping corners and a 30km section that blew my mind, we did it 5 times in 2 days and it was 200 miles from camp.
Put a pic on of bikes parked up, new exhaust and pic of my baby now she is clean after 1300 miles in 4 days.

Good thing the shop caught the "missing parts" when they did!! Also nice to hear about a good shop. :thumbup:thumbup Often all we hear is the negative.

Sounds like the trip was a blast.:rockon Good pics too.

hey dude!, glad you all had a great trip,:thumbup...And got the mille sorted in time. I love France!(well. the roads that is).You can certainly take the piss and hardly see the police.
Did the suspender set up make a big difference? Never been down to SC.
Talking of bits falling off/missing..thgat could kill you, I remember driving around blissfully unaware that three of the rear sprock nuts had 'disappeared'
Its easy to miss things.
I always have a good gander at stuff now before I drive off.
cheers Ck

Mate France was awesome, weather helped and car drivers stopped for us. TBF all the french were really helpful. Suspension made huge difference, no unused rubber on those black rings, held line like never before and just dropped into corners,of cause the swingarm being tight helped, but the bike handled awesome, taking her to southern at least once a year for check up, can`t recommend them enough, only a small shop but the knowledge is very impressive. Am Hooked

good to have you back buddy, and in 1 piece.
the bikes looking fantastic mate, love the race cans, renegades?

Copy of the renegade system, custom made link pipe and oval cans, sound awesome and are loud as fook, love em to bits. Need to go back to shop as melting my boots a bit, just need to move the heat shield. going to sell my temi titanium on flea bay.

Cans look awesome mate :) and the bike loks sweet in that sunshine, nice fast black one ^^

cool.i need louder!
its me birfday in september so im gunna treat myself to whatever the loudest beast is.
wouldnt mind switching to a 2 into 2 .think they look and sound better with the twin cans

idd mate, was thinking of doing something like that myself, but it will be a while before i can sweet talk the wife round

I just did it, she keeps asking the price ad i keep blagging it, not looking forward to the statement coming through

YAyyyy good news ST ya back safe and sound congrats!!:doug

Fook me and to think you were stressing over one little calliper bolt if only you knew the back end was held on by nothing but plastic and air:dowhat lol something to laugh about now i suppose now ya safe and sound:biggrin!

that exhaust looks bloody amazing bud if id seen them pics before i nominated Ian you would defo of got my Vote for this months bike! :drool :drool

Awww i wanna go to france!! i suppose i got a close runner up heading to wales this weekend with the lads for some biking, beers and camping! picked out an amazing route so minus the sun and quiet roads ill imagine im in France :thumbup

Thanks for the great words, i love my bike and will be checking nuts and bolts in future :doh. Still need to move the indicators and buy some different ones, was hoping to get led ones built into the rear lights, has anyone heard of these? seen there is another trip to france on the zone, am tempted, will have to see what the wife says. Are we any closer to a northern ride out?
Cant wait to see your bike mb,will it be ready for the weekend?
Big un- twin pipes are the way forward big time. :pirate

true mate, they always look better balanced with 2 cans imo, sounds obviously, twice
as nice.why did aprilia go with a single can anyway, specialy one that weighed more than 4 cans? all other big twins came with 2,sp1,firestorm,sv1000,916/996/998/1098?!

I much prefer 2 cans, pipework looks awesome too. Blaming BOB for this as i saw his and fell in love, Thanks BOB, will send divorce solicitor invoice to BOB @ Bedford :devious:nana.
Big un ask for the next 5 years birthday and xmas presents at once.

St matey, get chris Gunsters in Grimsby to order you soem integrated ones, hes just ordered me a pair and will fit them before my sachsenring trip.
I like the twin cans but on early models prefer the single can. Cheaper to repack and lighter. Tho I do like the booom boom of a twin exhaust!
PS-RE CC statements...havent you got them sorted for online statements? easier to hide the damage from Swimbo!!
Back after the 16th of this moth so we need to ride up to meet Bigun fer a thrash.
cheers Ck

certainly do,i look forward to that, and i have that plastic thingy for you too, just got to pick it up, will tell you when i have it.

thatd be bang on mate,be superb to have a blast with other milles, never see any round these parts, not the "classic" shape anyway.

THE shape, old shape and black , there aint any faster. Chuck some dates around then and will organise, any other northern monkeys want a go?? I am away in italy for 10 days 20th to 30th of this month so any other dates than that are cool with me.

I have been using SouthernCross since 2004 picked up my bike then and they were recommended as the top Place for a service then I have had 4000 on the clock now i have 43,000 and easy service has been done by them since then it is just the quality of the guys there is second to none that is why I keep going back
