I'm pretty pleased. :biggrin Just got back from "sport bike night" and put my 2000 RSVR on the dyno. She did 173 mph when I stopped rolling (10500 rpm). :doug She probably could have gone a little more but for bone stock I'm pleased. Showed 99 bhp at the rear wheel.:biggrin:biggrin

nice one matey.
more than enough for the road,i take it she got a full bill of health too then mate, all's running spot on?

She is running just like she should. :biggrin My dillema is that she's due for her 10K service and I'm not sure I want her "messed" with by the shop.:confused Aprilia dealers and shops in the U.S. are pretty spread out. Oh well.

Planned changes;
Exhaust-slip-on - I'm real close to an MIVV, carbon fiber, "shorty"
Frame sliders- need some that don't require cutting any bodywork
sprockets & chain- staying with the 525, down one in front & up two on rear

As a P.S.-If anyone is traveling to the U.S. and needs a place to stay for a few days, we have plenty of room. We are in Arkansas, which is pretty much dead center of the U.S. It's a good two day drive, from either coast, to Arkansas but well worth it to see the country.

fook me,what an excellent offer mate, very kind of you.
i may just take you up on that in the near future cos im dyin to see america, but its such a ball ache to book from the u.k as all the brochures are flight only, rather than a package holiday with the hotel in.
whats the history of arkansas then dude?

A "google" of Arkansas will give you a huge amount of info. We live in the northwest corner of the state in the town of Springdale. There are a group of towns very close together here, one of which is Bentonville. That town is the headquarters of WalMart. You may have heard of them. I DON"T work for them. Lot's of folks around here do and that's not an altogether good or bad thing. Also in the area are the headquarters for Tyson Foods and J B Hunt Trucking. WalMart and Tyson are international firms and JB Hunt is a continental U.S. shipper.

Life here is pretty "laid back". Fairly slow paced and easy going. Bigger cities have lots faster paces and lifestyles.

If you're serious, the offer is serious and a group might be fun. The U. S. is HUGE and I don't mean that in an arrogant way, it just is. Planning a vacation and seeing the country and people could be great fun. The exchange rate is pretty much in your favor now also.

yeah, heard of walmart, think they own asda over here now mate.
sounds fantastic.id soooo love to see the usa.my folks went to san fransisco/clear water ect and made their way down to vegas and said it had to be seen to be believed, and that the hospitality was out of this world.
im seriously fascinated by everything american lol.

There's not a time limit on the offer. Think on it and save some coin & make the trip. :thumbup

A full blown vacation needs to have several "sights" involved. Your folks started with some good ones. Las Vegas is a world unto itself!! :smilie

A trip this "size" needs some time and planning.

Hey bud good results on the dyno:thumbup

Its a pity your not a bit closer to the west bud me and my mate are taking 12 months to travel around the world and LA is our 1st stop, were planning on hiring a car then take a steady ride to San francisco where we fly out from to our next stop in Hawaii:doug, checked on google and noticed theres a few Universities on the way oh yes game on!!!

The closet we get to you bud is Las Vegas unfortunatly and the rest of the trip is down the pacific highway,

Is it true what they say bud the american girls love the british accent :biggrin ?

I was really pleased with the dyno results. I bought the bike used and although you think you have a good feeling about the guy you bought it from, you just don't know until you've got "hard evidence". Now I KNOW !!:thumbup:thumbup:thumbup

There is a newbie to the forum, Rotten, (has a 2007 Factory) who is from OaKland, California. He might have some suggestions as to local things to see and not miss.

Keep your wits about you in Vegas. Lots happening and it can get pretty wild.:doug

I will say that most Americans enjoy hearing an English accent. It would be a great "ice breaker" with the girls. :devious:devious Be aware of the jealous boyfriend!:angry That seems to be a pretty universal warning.

lol chris is gunna end up in the county jail!
id think most would run a mile from an english accent after that ***** from worksop, which is 2 mins from me, just got life for killing his wife and baby.
the sick *******.

Unfortunately there are some sick ones out there. :rant There removal from society is kind of a "thinning of the herd" thing. :exclamation:exclamation I do get sad about the "collateral damage".:thumbdown

Question; When you guys talk about plate sizes, what does that mean? How does registration work over there?

thinks its the size of the number plate, the standard one is huge and ugly and spoils the rear end of the bike imo.the standard legal size is 9"x7",like the huge one in my avatar pic.
ive just ordered a 7"x5",bit smaller but to small to *** the cops off.
the police are keen on this issue as they fine us ad its an easy way to make money out of us.

Yeah, I see what you mean. That big, honkin rectangle does tend to spoil the effect on the rear.:rant
