Greetings and welcome Carl.
You don't need a back brake on the T, the engine braking does it for you.
My side stand was always fine in the 4 yrs I had the bike.
Just ride the **** of it & enjoy.

Tuonoape on Aprilia Forum supplied all the info , quite straight forward really. it was at the fuel garage on the forecourt she gave me a scare, but that shed looks right up my street.

greetings and salutations carl, just be wary of where you park the bike and if you want to change the stand have a search on here for the info
