Hey peeps, i had another thought, would you all change ur map when changing exhausts, ie mines too loud for some trackdays (the 98 ones) so need to put standar ones on every so often.

Would there be a noticeable and if damaging difference if i left her on map 2??/

Finally this axone thingy..are they hard to get hold of or is it a stealorship jobby???

Dealership only for Axone Graham. MAP2 is for open cans without catalists. Putting the standard cans back on and running MAP2 will more than likely kill the cats over time, as well as running poorly. Not a good idea to keep switching maps as you have to re sync the throttle bodies

Best thing to do is keep it correctly set up on MAP2 and buy a set of cans such as Arrow or Akrapovic that have removeable baffles than can easily be put back in for quiet days :thumbup

Dont suppose you could recomend a decent dealer to sort a serice inc doing the throttle bodies and axone stufff etc??

Also how hard is it to change fork oil and seals on ohlins and would anyone know how much a dealor should charge you for doing this?? (serviced with and without forks)

I'm off to see Griff at customrestoandrace in Tamworth to have my Ohlins forks serviced with new seals in a few weeks, about £120. He has an excellent reputation for all things RSV.

That man is a guru. He used to work for Aprilia teaching all the agency mechs and used to produce all the English tech bulletins. His reputation is well known on other forums. I've used him twice - with excellent results. I've got my bike booked in next Wednesday for a 'big' service.

If anyone wants his contact details PM me - usual disclaimers.

Yeah hes a legend by the sounds of things, cheers fellas for the advice I shall be getting in touch wiv him, hopefully he can help me out!!
