At last! A Mille for me - Brisbane, Australia

G'day all, after about 25 years of riding I have finally bought myself a bike that isn't a compromise - an RSV Mille 2002

I commute and ride on weekends so let me know if any ride days planned in the Brisbane area :)

Oh, anyone know of any good mechanics that can do the Aprilia (my old mechanic reckons he can't properly service it)? I bought the RSV Mille about a month ago from Brisbane Motorcycles, Windsor. Not sure if I trust their workshop yet - particularly since I have some front end vibe when braking and they noted that there is some front disc runout - 'within spec' - so don't have to replace the discs, but if I decide to they would charge $920. Which seems a bit much.

:biggrin

hope you still love the beastie, love my Tuono, would have to be one of the best bikes i have owned over the last 30 odd years.

Have found Springwood Aprilia (basically Springwood Suzuki) to be fairly good. There mechanic that works on the Aprilia's is an Aprilia specialist so at least you know he knows what he is doing

Yes indeed, loving it still - except that the chain broke just before Christmas and I still haven't got it and various bits fixed yet...ah well, guess it's an excuse to change the sprockets (going with 16/44 instead of 17/42) .... should organise an Aprilia ride one day! There's another bloke I've been talking with who lives down the Gold Coast, must be a bunch of other SE Qld owners out there.

Springwood, unfortunately, is probably too far away, but thanks for the recommendation :)
