ASV Brake Levers

If I fit a set of ASV anodised brake and clutch levers, does this do away with the rubber dust boot that is currently on the standard Brembo levers.

The reason is I ripped mine taking the clutch lever off a while ago, and I want something to replace it as you can buy the rubber seals.

It is the rubber seal that sits over the piston that pushes into the master cylinder.

Am I the only person on here who has managed to rip the dust boot on the lever?

No Dan you're not. I managed to tear mine a little while ago. I haven't worried about it as the bike only gets wet if I get caught out and the lever is directly in front of the piston in any case. Can't answer your question about the after market levers though.

Squeeze a little silicone grease in place of the dust seal to stop dirt n water getting deep into the unit.

ASV.............took me less than 5 minutes per side, everything you need is in the box......bloody brilliant.

The only trouble (****** git thing) is that the rubber boots on both sides were partially shagged / spilt (Like most Milles), so it can be a (******) fiddle to get the "rods" in the hole as it were. All other aspects were easy peasy.
