Exactly the same happened with a mate of mine. He's a big bugger and had his heart set on a street triple, had the cash in his sweaty mitts, took a test ride and loved it, got his wife to take a pic of him sat on it.
Luckily he looked at the pic before handing over the dosh and realised it looked like he was sat on a minimoto. Binned that idea and bought a Honda CB1000R instead. He's still gutted he can't fit on a street though.
