I would say no

BUT

Just as bad for stopping ya bike working when they fook up

Best bet is a heavy duty lock and chain
 
Yep ! Its a sad fact that alarms usually cause the owners more trouble than a prospective Thief :(
 
Ditch the lot mate and invest in a good quality chain and padlock.

I removed my alarm and it made no odds on my renewal quote.
