Hi all,I'm havin some problems with Aprilia at the moment,I bought my bike to an Aprilia dealer here in Ireland with charging problems, turns out it's the stator that's fried, anyway even though the bike is less than two years old when they tried to claim for the work Aprilia say the waranty is "declined" without any further explaination.I originaly imported the bike from the UK and got in contact with the shop that sold the bike from new and they say they activated the waranty. So I don't know where to go from here, does anyone have a contact number for Aprilia UK,or has anyone experienced similar problems with Aprilia,I have to say I'm very dissapointed with the lack of communication between Aprilia and their dealers.

Aprilia Customer care is 00800 15565500 (open 8.30am - 06.30pm) or contact them on http://uk.aprilia.com. Be prepared for a fight Aprilia aren't exactly at the forefront of sorting out problems with bikes.

Good luck with the customer care bit, i prefered to call it customers wrong service. I had alsorts of problems with my SXV550 and ended up just paying to have it fixed cheap by a private mechanic who seemed to know more than Aprilia did.
I know there are some really good dealers out there BUT i find most places don't want to know after they've got your money and the mechanics are incompetent.

Just read your post on the AF1 forum. Looks like you got the shaft.

Aprilia Customer Service is a bit like my RSV clutch and back brake. FUC&ING ****

Does anyone know of anywhere in the UK where I'd get a stator if Aprilia refuse to sort this, going to the Isle of man in a few weeks so need to get sorted soon, cheers

Do a search on the AF1 forum and there is somewhere in Spain:confused that does a exchange/repair that is said to be better than the original.

do you have a local alternator repair place near you. they may be able to do a rewind on it for you. i know there are a couple local to me that recon alternators and starter motors, don't know if they would do a bike stator, but don't know why not. might be worth having a look through your local yellow pages and ring a few. hope this helps.
