Aprilia tuono 125 won’t start

I need help! This will be quite a long post due to a lot of explanation.
So, I have an aprilia tuono 125 2018, only 5k miles. It doesn’t have an ignition as it was previously stolen and the owner got it back and replaced the broken one with a kill switch hidden in the bike. Anyways

The chain came of my aprilia and was stood for a week before getting a new chain. Fitted it and the bike started fine. Come the next day I try start it to go to work and it starts then cuts off and wouldn’t start again. It turns on but won’t turn over and a popping noise comes from the exhaust. I initially think it’s the battery as when I got it from the private seller it was sat for a month and needed jump starting so I was quick to replace that. Still wasn’t turning over. I then thought it was the spark plug and attempted to get it out however it was stuck and rusted and all the good stuff and I didn’t really have the tools to remove it or look for other problems so I call my local mechanic. They take the bike in, I notice before it goes despite having a new battery the headlights were low (probably nothing but thought I’d add) they’ve replaced the wiring from the headlights to the second kill switch and replaced the spark plug and it started. They left it for like 24 hour - a few days I’m not to sure, this is before I collected it) and it wouldn’t start again. I’m not sure what they’ve done since and it’s still there but I severely need my bike! It does the same thing as when I first had the problem. It would start, you’d leave it and then it wouldn’t. I thought maybe there’s an airlock or and air leak in the fuel pipes making it so fuel wasn’t traveling but I’m not sure if they’ve checked that. It’s been 3 weeks it’s been in the garage and I’m getting desperate I’m not sure what to do.

Any advice or help is appreciated.
