hi all

just thinking of doing this air box mod , is it worth doing if only for the induction sound not sure it will make anymore power may make it smoother or just cause problems??????????

I took the restrictor out over the winter.I cant tell any difference in sound or performance.:no

I doubt very much that small mid on its own would make any noticable difference. A proper air filter mod etc, which was posted up recently does, and gives an excellent induction howl.

On my first service the mechanic handed me a small bag of parts . I asked what's this ,he replied thats the airbox restrictor, you don't need it on map 2 .It does make some difference to the induction noise but what else it does idk.

I can't see it doing a massive amount to the performance as the air flow is restricted by the inlet under the headlight, it probably just helps make a nice sound.
