Aprilia RSV R Lockset/immobilzer kit

Hi so I purchased an immobilizer/lockset and keys.. it came in now I am rewiring the old wire harness and upon plug in of immobilzer.. the red key icon does not blink like the old immobilzer unit.. the red key icon just stays illuminated (solid) whether the key is on/off... question is, does the immobilzer unit have to be programmed and flashed with the ecu? Or could it be faulty unit?

Also upon pickup of lockset from the dealer... it came with two black aprilia keys. But no master key. Is the lockset suppose to provide the master key or is that sold separately?

You need to program the immob ecu, it's virgin from the factory. Why did you buy a lockset as well ? You can buy the immob ecu on it's own, albeit only marginally cheaper.

Master keys are for adding additional keys to an existing immob ecu, not needed for a virgin one.

Your better off asking stuff like this on aprilia.me, it's a bit of a tumbleweed zone on here

Awh I see.. and reason for lockset and immob due to lost keys...
