Hi guys. 1st post even though I have had my T for three years!

I have got hold of some used Aprilia Performance rearsets.

Does anybody have any instructions on how to fit them? Left side is easy but I am cautious about the right side relocating the rear brake master cyclinder etc...

Any help would be appreciated as I can't wait to get them on!

Thanks.

I think there's a post somewhere on the site but if not I can run through it with you. Things that you need to know are that:

1) you will need to remove the rear fluid reservoir in order to relocate it by passing under & through the rear swing arm.
2.) If it's a newish bike & not mot able as yet don't snip & the brake light switch and refit on top of the master cylinder, it's a bit untidy looking & you'll need to re-wire it if you switch back to the origional hangers. Just use a bolt to cap it. However if you need mot's then you're probably going to have to do it. Not sure whether you'd get away with just a switch on the front brake lever.
3.) You will also need to remove the rear brake caliper in order to bleed the rear brake. You have to follow the thread somewhere on this ite on how to do it following the 3 stage method. Kaisey or something like that.

Can't remember whether there's a thread with photos showing how to do it somewhere on the site

Thanks for your advice buddy it really helps.

I will see if I can find the post for fitting them. I think that new from Aprilia Performance they come with a replacement brake light switch. I might give them a shout and see if they sell them seperately.

Yeah I had The AP rearsets just mentioned the rear brake light switch arrangement protrudes a bit & looks a bit untidy. Avoid fitting iot if you can. Just plug the recess where its supposed to fit. & it does come with the switch. I put mine back to standard when I part exxed the bike & had to tuck the wiring away into hiding. No doubt a keen buyer would have spotted by bodge. As it was going to a dealer it didn't bother me.

Oh & I found the fitting instructions posted by Rico earlier on so they shouldn't be difficult to find.
