Received an RSV seal cowl from a mate and wanted to colour code it asap, so did a quick trawl of the interweb only to find all kinds of horror stories about not much info being available for proper colour matches & Aprilia not giving out paint codes :no
I called a local paint suppliers and took the bike down and lo and behold they had the full range of Aprilia colour charts to hand and I will have a spray can of my choice ready for me tomorrow :biggrin Guess I shouldn't believe everything I read on the net! :dunno
Should look a million times better with it painted and fitted

Can you share the contact details for the paint supplier contact details as I have tried to get a paint code for my white 2010 plate without success
 
Finally got round to spraying the cowl and the results aren't perfect. It matches the tank exactly but not quite the same as the seat plastics :dunno Maybe it's my inability to use a spray can properly? or that Aprillia use whatever paint happens to be laying around at the time (my tank and seat plastics are slightly different colours.

Either way, imo it looks better than with the rear seat fitted :yes

The can stayed on for one day then was removed! It's so fcuking loud I couldn't hear myself think :eek
It didn't half sound nice though :devil
Going to spray the rear hugger and see how that looks?

No baffle with the can then.
 
Nope, no baffle. Will get one and see if sounds a bit less thunderous, I really like the sound just not sure my ears (and neighbours could get used to it) :lol
When I rode to work with it on, I actually had to check that it hadn't fallen off! It was that LOUD!!!
