:confusedok guys I have had my RSV mille R 2002 with akro 2-2 and the evo airbox+stacks and have been riding a ton, you know us lucky people in California get somthing like 72*F weather average, for about a month now I love the bike better than anything I have ever ridden. gets down right straoght smooth.

BUT where I live maybe if I am lucky the people that see my bike are about 1in 10 people that even know what Aprilia is. just to show you I was getting gas the other day and a guy said that bike looks fast. I was like yeah its decent. He then asked who made it, kawi or suzuki . I said neither. hey said what, then I told hime it was Italian. he said oh cool a Ducati I then replied in my best description of our APES no its licke Lambo is to Ferarri, meaning that its better. Then they say ohhhh thats definately a nice bike then. :pirate:pirate

What do I do. just keep educating? I knew these bikes where rare here but gosh I heard of Apes when I first got into bikes as the top of the line i-p there with the famous dukes:nana:dowhat:jack

Revel in the exclusivity fella, It'll keep a smile on your face :thumbup

I've had some really positive reactions to my Mille since I got it, it's been one of the pleasures of owning a great big red Italian sportsbike. People smile at and me and give me thumbs up at the lights, I never used to get that on my Kwak. The exclusivity of Aprilias is definitely part of the pleasure of wonership.

I agree with Legs - and others. Even though there are quite a few Aprilias in the UK I'm often approached and asked what it is when I'm parked up. (It would freak me out if they asked me when I was riding). The only downside is that we sometimes have to listen to the old stories of what THEY used to ride :puke.

I like the parallel between Ferraris etc. Good one :thumbup.

Enjoy

Here in the States there just aren't that many Aprilias. I like that I don't see myself coming down the street very often. :biggrin As the other guys have suggested, revel in the exclusivity!!:thumbup
