If it's the same one I'm thinking it is, when trying to sway my dad to the T over a speed triple I noticed a new one they had for sale on fleabay. Gave him a call as planned to take the old man over for a butchers being localish but had seen the same T for sale a bit further away but cheaper & addressed the £500 difference. Explained we'd spend £100 odd on fuel, grub & a pint to get the other one, anything he could do? His response 'not a charity mate, got a used one coming in at that price but this new one will fly out the door so go get it'.

Went to Bowen Moto, my local dealer with the old man, mentioned the deal elsewhere & they offered to beat it by £100. Unfortunately he went for the speed triple, which is a cracking bike by the way, the dealer in question lost out on a potential sale & 2 cutomers for repeat business.

Understand in the current climate times are tough & every penny counts but rubbed me up the wrong way so fook him! Yes he still has the T for sale 2 months later.

I've bought two Aprilia's from the dealer you're talking about. I can only speak of my experience but I'd never go anywhere else - never any problems, always done a good deal for me and the servicing and service has been great. I'm a happy customer!

You're not the owner of the said dealer are you, lol.

One of those things eh! Was just surprised that me offering a cash buyer that day made no odds. But then I do work within the motor trade, so understand how tough the market is & that cash is not that attractive anymore. Dealers earn more selling on finance these days.

Planning to hold a Griff day at mine soon, if you need owt done & are able to make it, I'm sure you'll be having your service work done elsewhere in the future :dowhat

its a shame that you had problems with an Aprilia dealer, but it does seem that for every good one there are 2 bad ones.

I live in Chelmsford with an aprilia dealer on my doorstep and i wouldnt even let them work on a push bike.

I have to take my T to a dealer about an hour away to get a good service, such a shame in these tough times that some dealers do not realise what customer service is.

Blimey I'm a bit shocked! I too know the East Grinstead Guy, bought my T from him and he's always been great. Good workshop too. Maybe he was having a bad day (or 2!)

I px'd my CBR600RR for a Tuono at the East Grinstead dealer and I absolutely couldn't complain about the customer service. He also repaired my T when I binned it and the service was excellent.

Sounds like he was having a bad day, he's a really sound guy normally.
