Tamworth, staffs
just wanted to share a bit of a problem with RSV and tuono late model that is starting to reoccur...

the dash wont work is the sympton along with the error code on the dash thats reads "APMT0025"
its a grubby block connector under the tank on the left hand side...give it a clean up and bosh dash works again!!

gotta be worth a share that one??

I had that code earlier this year, bike not starting, cutting out, eventually seemed to rectify itself, but due a service next May when I'm back from Thailand, I'll ask you to double check it then Griff.

Old thread revival.....
I can figure out how to take the tank off on my 08 Tuono. Is there a picture available of the block connector so I know what I'm looking for? Or is it that obvious that I'll know it when I see it?
Thanks

Fairly obvious from memory. The wiring runs just inside the frame under the tank from the ECU to the dash. A blast of air or maybe some brake cleaner inside the block connector. Griff did mine as mentioned above and I've had no issues since.

I found it a few minutes ago and cleaned it. Still same problem. 2008 Tuono acted like the battery went dead. I replaced the battery. When I connected the terminals, they arc bad and the starter starts spinning. The dash displays APMT0025. I was fine before this. Never in the rain or in an accident.

I'm thinking the starter solenoid is bad. The arc is so bad it made a melting mark on the battery terminal. Can the solenoid be reset or do I have to replace it?
Thanks,
Craig

Craig you must replace the starter solenoid but ONLY use a genuine 150amp one
Cheap about £45 from AP Workshops in Tamworth
Give Griff or Snox a call

I eventually found that through searching. There's very little info on this issue though. The solenoid is supposed to be here tomorrow so fingers crossed that it fixes the issue. Thanks for the reply!

Follow up question.
I replaced the solenoid and it started. But about 5 seconds later it just stopped running. Dash stayed lit but when I hit the starter button it did nothing. I shut the ignition off until the dash went blank, and then it started again. But 5 seconds later it shuts off. Now it will not start at all. Did I get a bad solenoid? I'm wondering if it's directional? I really didn't pay attention when I took the old one off but I figured it would just open a circuit no matter which cable is connected to which side.

Follow up to this...I put the tip over sensor back in upside down. Finally have it running again. Thanks to those that helped.
