anyone used this lap timer?

No mate, I've not used one of these. :dunno

The T has a built-in lap timer with 40 laps storage capacity.:yes

Dave

I know, I know. But someone had to be the smart arse to say it.:bitchslap:

yeah, i mean...so does my R1, but its far from being useful on the track. :O

I've not used it, but it looks as though it would do the trick. I know doug has some experience with laptimers. I also vaugely remember something about some tracks being fussy about allowing them (for reasons I don't think I ever understood).

haven't seen any tracks around here be fussy about them...almost all the riders have them, to the point the trackgroup brings its own beacon so we don't have like 90 or so setup.

i await the mad modders response :doug

Personally, I find a sundial quite adequate for timing my laps. :blush :rolleyes

Not supposed to use laptimers on our trackdays here. Some BS about insurance, turns it from a casual trackday to a race day. Different requirements.

Someone usually has a beacon hidden somewhere. I like the look of the XT Mini. I've got the XT Ultra and pretty happy with it. Got the whole kit and kaboodle in a group buy.

woohoo! guess what showed up today on my doorstep!?!?

look crashtd... buy the tuono.. it'll make your laps feel MUCH quicker:whoop:D, and you can as mentioned even clock em':D

Hmmm although me 07 Tuono has lap timers on it ... most of the tracks are a bit funny about you timing them over here in the UK, In fact tis getting harder to get Track time anyway.... we have had standard Gixxers, R1's, ZX10's etc in standard trim turned away cos some fookin **** has objected to the noise.

What sort of tracks are those Mogster? Train tracks?? What's the point of a race track anyway? If they're that sensitive to noise, might as well close it down now and sell it to developers. It'd be bloody useless to anyone serious about going fast.:banghead

Ferkin noise police. Same as fun police. a-holes :kicknuts

Most of the local councils in the UK have put noise reg limits on the tracks, mostly they are 99 or 100 db, they do allow a limited amount of 'Full noise 105db' days per year but obviously a lot of these are taken up by organised race events, BSB and club racing.
Also there is no constant method for testing, so for example you could go to Snetterton which is the middle of Norfolk and be fine and then go to Silverstone and find you fail the test, as each track seems to interpret the regs in a different manor.
Trouble with all this bollox is just encourages us to race on the road.
