Obviously excluding the works WSB Team. I wondered if anyone else was racing a V4 in any domestic championships yet. Any class i.e. Superstock or Superbike.

I only ask as I know someone who is looking to run a team overseas and is looking for comparison feedback before actually ordering the bikes etc. He would prefer to not take the easy option of an R1 or CBR1000 etc

Allan

Best person to talk to is DODs who races an RSV4 and an R1 at the TT and other racing events.

Do a search and email him

Hi Allan,
Paul Dedman of Paul Dedman Performance Motorcycles raced a RSV4 in the 2009 Southern 100 road race in the Isle of Man. He's a top bloke and was going very well on it. He has a web site and his e-mail address is on it,sure he would be happy to tell you what he thinks.

Cheers DAPS

Hi, we are currently running two two bikes in the UAE Supperbike championships, both bikes are stock with the exception of full ti Akra,s. Two wins and two second places first time out. Bikes handle well with very few problems encountered. We are waiting on the release of the PC,V for this model which will let us map the fuelling. The one issue we have here is perhaps from the heat on race day and the fact that the RSV4 has quite a small water capacity, unfortunatley our reg,s dont allow for an after market radiator.
The bike in stock form is also pushing out less HP than most of the other Jap material but this doesent seem to be a problem at the moment. cheers

Hi allan, Imoto are running 2 bikes in superstock, we at Austin racing will be helping them out.

The full system we will be supplying will help massively with the heat problem, it's Inconel so stays way cooler than Ti

cheers

Inconel is an alloy used by F1 teams, it is light, very strong and handles very high temperatures very well. It is not widely used as it is notoriously difficult to work with and very expensive.
The benefits are there to be had if you can work with it.

yes inconel is great but it I dont feel it lighter than titanium.
I sell in my country only inconel systems ( No name as I am not allowed ) but everybody ask for TI.
I prefer Ti just for the look. next system will be inconel with dedication to rich as my first interlocutor to rsv4.
anyway rsv4r or factory?

Hi tuto.ro, if you want pictures of an rsv4 in action have a look at this site, arushenmoodley.co.za cheers
