Is there anyone out there that races their RSV? Just interested in what people are doing, where they are racing, what clubs and categories etc? I'm in 'maybe' mode for next year but I haven't raced before :dunno

I try to do as much trackdays as money will let me :D, planing to go more into racing next year... But as always it depends on the time and money :)

So far only raced in one Battle of twins race and lucky me, it was recorded, heres the link. I started last (had no qualifications, just straight to the race), the only blue and a bit silver aprilia with the white front mask (and the only blue bike :)). Just look at the back after first turn :D

Im not close to you, so cant help you with others stuf like where I race, because its not that close to you :).
But its a lot of fun, any race is a lot more fun and interesting than just practising on a trackday, if you can, go for it :thumbup

So where did ya finish up mate? some broad spectrum of bikes out there:eek:

I started 26th and finished 16th, jea there all sorts of bikes in the race, 3 groups, v2 sport, naked and you can also go with a supermoto, but i think it was only one or two.

I think if you can find a "v2 only" race, that is the best to start with aprilia, since there are all sorts of v2 owners, not everyone has the latest bike, some just like theirs 916 so its interesting to race with them. And beat them :D

im stepping up to racing my rsv on the 20th of september moving up from the formula 400 class to the thunder bikes , the club im with is derby phoenix http://www.derby-phoenix.co.uk/

I'm contemplating a run or two out with DP's thunderbikes next season on a stock RSV Factory. I've raced with them before in F400/F250 and I can vouch for the club as a good place to start racing.

I have run with Derby Phoenix in 1999 & 2000 Jim is a really nice guy and the meetings were fun & friendly
