Hi all ,
Im having trouble finding a good cleaner to keep my rims clean guys , ive used a product called maguires non acid rim cleaner but still they dont come up as nice as id like ,and then i tried metal polish that didnt work either , so if anyone knows of a good cleaner it would be great .Was told Mr Sheen but a bit hesitant to use it .:dunno

Mate they are a nightmare aren't they. When I washed mine they looked fantastic when they were wet but as soo as they dried they looked crap again. They collect dust like magnets!

I think the only way to get them looking stunning is to have them lacquered. Then the dust won't stick to them as much and they SHINE.

Until then I'll carry on using autoglym instant bike shine polish. Wash the bike, leather your wheels off then spray on autoglym instant bike shine and polish them up. They look good until your next ride when they will draw all the bloody dust again.

Never had a problem :dunno I clean them off with Gunk then wash with AutoGlym, they always look mint :thumbup

One of the guys on AF1 swears by "Mothers All Wheel" Polish - I've not tried it but he reckons it brings them up like new. Do a search there.

Deacs :thumbup

WD40 for me, cuts through chain lube and road grime and its cheap. White spirit if you dont have any WD

mr sheen!!....spray it on....leave for 5 mins and wipe off......give em a little polish and as good as new!!

I use silicone spray, brings them up a treat, and can get 5 tins for £1 at local market so a cheap way to keep them shiny..

Great, I was going to ask this question this morning! I used to have white wheels on my GSXR, which although meant lots of cleaning, Mer seemed to bring them up really well. This doesnt seem to work at all on the Blue OZ wheels because they seem to have more of a grainy texture. Will give WD40 a bash.
