i want to put all 10 pieces of carbon fiber onto the silver rsv and i was curious if anyone is in the know as to the dealer cost (in U.S. dollars) of carbon fiber...this way i can get the very best deal when i purchase the bike...

or can anyone recommend a better place other than the dealer to order the carbon fiber? (then i can put it on my self)

thank you all

When you say 10 pieces not sure which ones, mines an 02, but OPP racing.com, Ilmbereger.de both make excellent Carbon and can supply the whole shebang, not sure about them doing deals though.
cheers CK

from the download section from "accessories" at the aprilia website, they have a 'CARBON FIBER KIT' that consists of 10 different carbon fiber pieces that come with the factory...those were the 10 pieces i was referring to...additionally i see that there is alot more that i can do as well (i.e. clutch cover, etc)...anyway i feel that i can get a great bike (because it is an rsv) and make it original to me

anyone know if it would be cheeper to order the bike and carbon fiber thru dealer...or would it be cheeper to order bike, then get carbon fiber later from another source?

i was thinking that it sure would be convenient if i could tell the dealer exactly what i want and then pick it up all ready-to-go...but if it would be financially wise to order it (from places like oppracing.com for example)...
please feel free to drop me some of your wisodm

Doc, I think what your asking nobody will know the answer to. I think the best thing you can do is go to the Aprilia dealer, get the best price you can for the new RSVR 1000 in standard trim, then negotiate a price off them with all the carbon bits you want added. You can then price up the carbon from other suppliers to see which is the cheaper option.

The other option of course is to negotiate a price for a RSVR Factory that has all the carbon bits plus higher spec wheels, shock etc as standard fitment

thanks all...
my business and personal taxes should be done very soon (week - week and a half tops) i am doing my last bit of homework now so that i can move as fast as i can to get the bike that i want as soon as we (my family and i) see where we are (if we owe anything or if we should get a tax return)...
thanks for your advice...i think that you are correct..its just something that i need to do...
peace all
