Nope but its a long way away from me good luck with search.
Try AF1 forums that's US based and asked your question on there pal. Maybe Amauri he's in Westminster CA I believe, knows his stuff as well.

I'd love to but the guy seriously disrespected me on the phone, so I can't (wont) bring him my bike. I wrote about it on the other forum and everyone came after me, so I'm just not going to do that.

Yes, he can have an "attitude"- what do you need done? Aside from rebuilding the motor, these bikes are fairly simple to work on w/plenty of info on the other Forum. I'll ask someone I've dealt w/ in CA if he knows a good Ape mechanic. I've done all the servicing myself (except any complex engine work). I live in Portland and there isn't any Ape dealer- I think there's one in Seattle-

What absolutely floored me is how other riders piled on when I dared to say that I rubbed him the wrong way, like lemings. It really made me question the Tuono rider community. It's like nobody could think for themselves. I was embarassed for them... like telling a group of liberals you're a pro-Trump conservative, I mean a real feeding frenzy - you should read the post. Then someone decided to close the post, which I understood because it just was going nowhere constructive. That's when I decided to leave that forum. I realize how a guy like Amari can be a very useful tool. He has some very redeeming qualities. For one, he speaks his mind which is a very good thing in a mechanic, and he knows his stuff. But when they guy starts making character judgements about someone he doesn't know, I'm out of there. He actually had the audacity to tell me on the phone that he read my posts, and I was "All over the place" in a very dissaproving tone...as if I'm not following the heard in an approved manor... like who TF do does he think he is.

I appreciate you reaching out. Yeah, I found a shop not too far from me that seems good, and did a basic repair I needed, but I'd feel better if I found someone with real experience that wasn't the dealer for future work.

I agree- there's a few obnoxious characters on that Forum w/ ego "issues", but I've found some good info. I have a Haynes RSV Gen 1 manual thats surprisingly useful. I try to do as much work myself as possible since I'm always disappointed w/ work done at shops for $125 an hr. Moto Corsa here is over priced and I'll never go back to EDR (pompous owner). There was an Aprilia/Guzzi dealer here for awhile but they closed down, so all the V4 owners will have to go to Seattle. Apes are great bikes and I'm on my 3rd- recently bought an 09 Tuono from CA w/ 7k miles for $3400-

Right, yeah I'm a business owner (software) and have more money than time (or mechanical skills if I'm being honest) so for me, it's worth paying the right mechanic. I also have a Suzuki Bandit 1250, and I do the oil changes on that, and remove the wheels for tire mounting, which takes me about an hour, and I'm ok with... if the same takes me 2 hours on the Tuono though, I think I'll have someone do it (plus I don't have to deal with the wife nagging me about the grease and the sink).

Sorry to hear about the spat with Amauri, I wasnt to know when I offerd his name. Good luck with your search fella.

Nothing either of us did is beyond repair actually. Life is too short. I think he's an honest man for what it's worth, and so am I. Perhaps this is just male ego. I'll reach out, and offer an olive branch eventually. Hope he'll take it.
