**** ride there, nearly all motorway unless you detour if you have the time.
BUT, the Dutch love bikes, especially twins and the roads will be rammed with bikes from everywhere. Especially the UK. No crap, you will get convoys of hundreds of bikes on the road and all the cars just move over. Almost god like. But watch out for the feds nearer to the circuit.

Showers/food/beer/freaks :thumbup. My highlight last time was sitting outside one of the bars on the way back to the campsite after the race and watching all the bikes go past while getting shitfaced. Their were loads of Apes and other twins.
They make a big deal of the Gp and their will be loads of stuff going on in Assen. Only a tiny place btw. From that campsite its a taxi ride, about 5-6 miles.
One tip though, keep all your posessions like wad and passports down your grundy's at night because the tents have been known to get robbed with lads actualy asleepin them. Zip your tents upwards, what the twats do is unzip the tent a bit and fumble around for things. Once my mate had his keks dragged out and all his dosh nicked.
