Any ideas?

Annoyingly, I have to keep my Tuono outside under a cover and so I'm wondering if somehow insulating the battery will help the bike fire-up when it's cold? :dunno

Cheers

I have the bike hooked-up to an Optimate (via the letterbox!) whenever it's not being used and a YTZ14SBS battery on it's way. :devious

A mate just suggested the insulating thing today but I'm hoping the new battery will give me more confidence in starting the bike.

Aye-up Tez, how are ya?! :thumbup

Which battery u using? I'm hoping the new battery will solve my probs as I've already replaced the solenoid, for the same one used on your model. The battery is 6 years old!

just adaft ne, i was thinking of making some quick release pins like redratbike has done for the seat and keep the battery in the house, would only take a few mins to connect up, just means no alarm and resetting clocks..just an idea??

Just open up the Battery to check the fluid level.
Mine was gone in 2 years, voltage was fine but just no power.
So I open it up to find almost no fluid.

It's a good idea mate but I have a Datatool System 3 alarm that I have to put in "service mode" when I remove the battery, so it beeps every 15 seconds! :roll

I'll do the same with this one when the new one comes, satisfy my curiosity now that you've mentioned it! :biggrin

New battery, same old problem.................. :rant

I was really hoping a new battery would be the solution. I'm useless when it comes to electrics! :dunno
