Any ideas to MOD an indicator switch !!!

Just Lurve my 2008 RSVR but 2 things get my goat.
1. Mirrors - but sorted then with SW Motech extensions
2. Used to jap bikes with indicator swith above horn so each time i go to turn press horn instead - had a few funny looks and find would be better if could adapt or swop indicator or horn positions.
So anyone any ideas or if i was to ride doin a handstand might cure it,,,,thats before the sarky comments,,,,,,,,,,,, as i,m sure there will be some.

When i first got my rsv i found that also, the indicator switch is also further away compared with many other bikes so you really have to reach for it.

I dont know of any mod for changing the switches. I guess in time you will just get used to it like i have.

Regarding your mirror extentions, although they are handy to have ive read somewhere that if you were to ever drop your bike at some point not only will you damage your mirror the likely hood is you will snap your upper fairing to which its mounted. This has happened to other people who have them.

Just something to bare in mind

1, you will get used to it like i did

2, you might be abke to swap it over for a pre 2000 model, i'm sure they are like the jap controls
 
Easy!!!!!

I new to the RSVR and got a 08n also...... and had the exact same issues.

got some mirror extenders/spacers from busywoo via fleabay.

The indicator switch mod is also easy (and I got advice from this forum too so i can't take the credit).
- undo the 2 bolts on the underside.
- carefully split the the switch casing
- you will find a small brass pin that locates in a hole in the bars.
- remove the pin (I used mole grips as it is quite tight).
- reassemble the switch unit but twist it round until the indicators feel in the right position.
- tighten it up and bob's your uncle!
- it's not perfect but it's a hell of a lot better that beep beep every time!

ken you **** you get used to it after a bit . try going further than the bridge and it might sink in lol also try dropping a bolt into your exhaust as this will act like an indicator warning buzzer at tick over as it vibrates . you know like the buzzer you had on your zx9 one more thing dont forget your white helmet and boots to compliment your hi vis jacket
