I have a metal tanked RSV:nana

But the last time I put the bag on it made dimple marks on the paintwaork that went over time, but what do you guys use to stop the dreaded magnetic marks?

theres a thin matting (rubber) that you can buy, likewise you can use an old tshirt cut to shape. thats what i did for years with my tl
but can i be the first to call you a lucky *******, as i have having my own troubles with tankbags .....albeit slightly different.... hope that helps. steve

Most modern bikes have plastic tanks so dont worry.

ps you need to put some piccies in your garage.
 
will do but im a **** when it comes to technology,:jack . If you have msn i could sent u a few over but i am ***** at all this photobucket ****. Will get some new fotos taken when the snow clears. pretty bad here at the moment. will include a snap of my TLS also.

i use some stuff called grip mat got it from my local bike shop but you can get it all over the place but some of it is alot thicker than others:thumbup

There is some of exactly the same stuff, for approx 1/4 of the price bike shops charge for it, in B&Q allegedly.
 
I used wonderweb on my Bandit 12 under my tankbag for years because of the marks left initially. Worked a treat!
 
Yep!Wonderweb under the tankbag.I use my old BMW Motorrad 'bag just to put a DSLR(photo nut),wire chain in.Like the knowledge that my things are in view when riding,but it does put you off a bit.Have just ordered a Kriega US20 backpack for times away.A Knox rucksack comes too(not 100% happy with this)may go for the Kriega equivalent.AL
