how far down the fork legs should the top yoke be? should the fork tops sit proud of the top yoke or be level??
has anyone had a dodgey relay?? located on the left hand side in rubber mounting clips, basically i put the ignition on and there is no dash board illumination, if i twist or move the relay it comes alive and i can start it!
(i bloody ripped out the meta alarm and immobiliser to discover a week later the problem came back)if your sat on the bike its the first relay, there is 2 close together.
cheers

Manual can be downloaded from serviceaprilia.com which shows all the suspension settings.

wiring behind left panel is prone to corrosion from water ingress. check the connectors are clean and corrosion free.

Cliff, it's really a matter of preference mate. Mine (01 model on Showas) is showing four lines (i.e. three segments visible) above the yoke and she seems to turn in fine while being nicely stable. This was how it was set-up when I bought it and it seems to be pretty much what most other people are running on here.
Having said that, Spoonz is the man so listen to him, not me:thumbup

ok sorted the wiring!!! left hand side was 1 multiplug with bloody spade terminals in it, absolutley corroded, so chopped it out and put in good old trusty block connectors and wrapped it all up well with a roll of electrical tape!!! bike illuminates and starts first time every time!
done the forks, my manual said 4 lines on top of legs visable for road use or 5 for racing, so sod it i set it at 5!!
hope to have first ride tomorrow then book it in for mot!
cheers for your help guys!

i ran 5 lines cliff too. it worked fine for me and had less tendancy to want to stand up if you trailed any front brake into a turn
