New to the board, as I traded my decent 2002 VFR800 for a 2002 mille ‘with some work’. This should tell you I’m not known for my sanity (lol).
It needs paint, fasteners for the fairings et cetera, and tlc. Good bones though.
In all fairness, working on it is half the hobby to me, so I'm in for a lot of fun!
I'm 38, father of two little boys, we live in the north east of the Netherlands (very near to the TT circuit you might know from WSBK and MotoGP) and I get paid to drive a fuel tanker.

So far I found a FH020AA r/r and Renault V6 coils, and some serious shoddy work done on the wiring from stator to r/r... wires were just twisted together and then shrink tubed, rode home for about 60km and then found out two of three phase wires near the stator were already fused together!
So, fixed that, good voltage and went for a test ride; ran utter crap, just died as soon as I twisted the throttle and it then threw code 15 (tps), took out the multimeter and diagnosed a bad sensor.
New sensor came in yesterday (for a Volvo S40), got the pc copy of TuneEcu, reset the tps... now it's a no start; codes for the fuel pump relay. Swapped relays, problem didn't follow, so relays are good. Fuuuuuuu
Connector between tank and wiring loom is pretty crappy on the loom side, one female terminal was flattened inside and had half the wires hanging loose, and half the connector was filled with glue (or something like that)... so I'm going to replace the connectors with new ones, not sure if that solves it though... I fear the pump may be fried, come to think of it... maybe the fried stator wires did more damage than I thought, but so far the ecu doesn't seem to have gone bad.
Feels like I've taken a few steps back right now, but I'm sure it'll all pan out and will have a fine motorcycle.
