Yeah I know but I need to know :biggrin
just looking at the 04 headers and it seems the flange is different (4 bolt holes) compared to the 3 bolt holes on the early models.

Would it be possible to get the 04 headers and cut the flanges off and re-weld the 99 ones to it. would it fit the biek then?

if this is possible, any good welds around here:biggrin

what you bloody thinking of doing now man:biggrin:eek:

i could weld them for you if you need them doing .
then again the pipes are stainless are they not?? ,yes??

if so we dont have tig welders at work, so someone else will have to help you out bud....sorry..we only do mild steel (mig welding)at work.

and i cant afford a tig at home:devious:devious..."oh honey..i was wondering if i could have a tig weder to help my buddy out"...lol lol

pat

I see where your going with this one mate.

But aren't the 2004 RSV models different dimensions to our early models?

The exit points for the header pipes and lengths of the silencers are all different.

Sounds like your custom set up to those cans off Ebay are the best solution.

Perhaps Patty could make some money here by making up twin exit headers and link pipes for forum members?

Now if Patty fancies having a go at the famous exhaust collector mod ...?

have u lot seen my welding...lol lol lol

then again if its good enough for stannah stairlifts,it will be good enouugh for some exhausts:biggrin

will have to see how it pans out

What we need is for someone or all of us to chip in and buy a twin exhaust header set up and then utilise it as a template for duplication purposes.

Or perhaps we have a forum member who already has one sat in the garage of which we could borrow??

Patty, don't put your welding down mate, you ain't seen mine!!

Nor my welding. Had a bash on my mates old car years ago when he worked as a manager for a tyre fitting place. set fire to his carpets :lol was bloody funny.
anyways back on track, really I would like the twin exhaust not high level but the gaveyades construction like the renegade system seems the cheaper option.

It seemed looking as pics of the 2 headers all that was different was the flange and the exits. exiting being it has 2 not one and the flange having 4 bolt holes. if the pipes are different sizes then sure that shouldnt be an issue?!?!

another option im thinking of is the Falco twin system, it has 3 bolts on the flange, would that fit.

If I go for the custom creation then the bike will be in cardiff for three days :( but he said once its done he will not need the bike to re-create the pipes :) £79 all in for the link pipes seems a good deal.

have you tried these yet???
im sure....but not 100% ive seen these advertise in bike mags,
and im also 99% sure these are the same people who did a full custom exhaust for jo's dad's motorhome.

might be worth a try,a bit closer than wales!!

Think these were the guys that did some stacks for my mate's pickup - he's away at the moment so I can't ask him about them but I don't remember him being too displeased with the job.
I also talked to a place in Basingstoke the other day that make bespoke systems for cars - Fastfit on 01256 321800 (talk to Matt or Byron) dunno if they'll do bikes but might be worth a call.

£79 all in for the link pipes sounds like a good deal mate.

Was that for the centre exhaust manifold bit only with two exits instead of one?

What you could do is use yours as a template and then act as an intermediary via the manufacturer so that you can recoup your costs on production. All you have to do is add £5.00 or so to each order as I'm sure many people will order them at that price.
