do alarms have a big affect on your battery? will disconnecting the alarm make a huge differance in starting or not?

so if the bike is not used daily then the alarm will drain some juice out of the battery!

Yes. Bikes don't like alarms being fitted and i'm not convinced they prevent a theft anyway.

A mate had his bike picked up and shoved into a van with alarm blaring in a busy car park a few years ago. No one did anything to stop them.

A colleague he worked with even admitting seeing them do it and didn't think to tell him.

I'd rather not have one as it's too sensitive and a pain in the arse! Datatool System 3 :(

alright koko, i hope its not as complecated as the one fitted to mine, meta v3. wires are spliced in all over the joint. it self imobilises after 30 seconds and wont turn off if the battery runs low.. i was riding through Bristol and a cabbie shouted out your hazzard lights are on...what hazzard lights? friggin alarms.. good luck mate.

alarms can be a pain but the insurance companys love em !!
ps they do drain only a small ammount but it is a constant drain and realy kill a battery if left without a optimate on
