Hi guys, just joined this site 5 mins ago as I've bought a Tuono 1000R this morning! This is my first post so be gentle with me..... Anyway, after a crappy ride home in the rain with new tyres and on a bike i'm not used to, my first job is to release some decibels. I've removed the short Allen headed screws that retain the baffles and expected to be able to wiggle them out. Nope. Tried grips with cloth around the jaws for extra purchase, still nope. So, my question is, help!

That's how mine came out, just the Allen screw and they slipped out with my fingers . Mine are oval titanium I think.unless they are carboned up ..Welcome by the way

If you tried with them hot it will be difficult. They could be seized in if been in a while. Spray WD40 or the likes on, leave for a while and try again.
Good luck

Thank you. Sprayed with large amounts of WD40 and left for 36 hours, no joy. I did read somewhere that if you remove the can and insert a broom handle or similar into the inlet end, it is possible to tap out the baffle from that direction...........Anyone tried this?

nope, but i can see how it might work. Even if it just dislodges it.

Tbf, it shouldn't stick anyway should it?

Have you tried hitting them with a hammer? A rubber mallet of course to try and dislodge them

Success! The broom handle method solved the problem.......... Sounds awesome, tho I have a 04.00 start tomorrow..........Thanks for the advice guys, anything else I should know?

Yeah, make sure you don't put them back in to ensure they defo cant get stuck again ;).

Yes, your neighbours will hate you by Wednesday

congratulations on the bike! I'm sure you'll love it. Try removing the baffles after the bike has cooled down. Rubber mallet with a piece of wood on the small nut. It should make a difference.
