Akrapovic - Slip-On Can - Model Identification

I have a 2008 dream blue Tuono 1000r - which has the optional (factory option?) aprilia logo'ed akrapovic slip on cans. Owing to a little slip at Snetterton on Sunday (after a car session dropped a load of oil!), I'm now in the market for a new right can and link pipe.

The cans I have on at the moment have Akrapovic model number "MS-H8" printed on the end caps and are "E1 0492" compliant (again - stamped on both end cans), but every parts catalogue I look at suggests that the slip on cans for the 2006-2009 Tuono/RSV are Akrapovic model number "MS-H11" and are "E1 0489" compliant. What's the difference?

Does anyone know what I should be looking up to try and find one of these mythical "MS-H8" cans?

Thanks in advance.

I too have an '08 Dream Blue Tuono 1000r with Akrapovic cans, but mine shows a part number of ZD41016 and claims to be E3 & E11 compliant. I'm in the states, not sure if that makes a difference or not.

The 'E' numbers relate to 'Type Approval' under the international UN (was UNECE) vehicle parts are components scheme.

So the component part number is the relevant reference. Probably the only way to tell the difference between part numbers is contract Akrapovik.

I did find the attached TA certificate via Google, but it's not much help:

Just checked mine, 2007 Tuono and my Akrapovic's are MS-H8 these are not official "Aprilia Racing" parts but are Akrapovic SP. I purchased these brand new from an independent motorcycle shop locally in 2007.

so are the official Aprilia Racing slip on's, rebranded sp cans?
