Hi
Looking ta fitting an Akrapovic slip on and debating to remove the pillion pegs and use an aftermarket mounting for the exhaust (which one?) or not. Any pics of different brackets would help. :cheers

Hi,

if your removing your rear pegs you can get blanking blocks from R&G but a word of warning on them, the bolts supplied with mine were to short and almost stripped the threads in the rear sub frame so I ended up buying longer stainless steel bolts from a local supplier. Not sure on the exhaust hangers as I have decided to leave the original can on my factory as it sounds so good. If you need a pic of the blanking blocks fitted I will post one up.

Give us a shout if you need any spacers ect machining, we got some ally bar at work in the lathe shop :thumbup

cski1 yeah put up a picture it may help. There are some blanks in the box of bits that came with the bike but they are plastic and not sure how they will look. I am with you on the standard exhaust noise but the Akrapovic was free so it seems a waste not to fit it.

Chris hold that thought I may need some.:thumbup

I have the R&G one on mine.

I went for the R&G part, for cost mainly but it does look nice and tidy, I didn't bother with the block off plates as you can't see the gap unless you look underneath the tail.

The pictures show the blanking plates installed on the bike where the old rear foot pegs attached to the sub frame. These come in pairs but if you go for fitting your aero then only the near side will need fitting, I have included a picture of the original bolt (Black) and a longer bolt which I installed in its place as I almost lost the threading in the holes using the supplied bolt. They are ideal for fitting and keeping the crap out of the threads and tidy up the appearance. Hope this helps with the blanking plates.

Hi, my bike has the Akrapovic silencer on it, it was fitted before I bought the bike and it still has the rear pegs attached
