Why is it that anything with Akrapovic on it almost seems to be worth its weight in goldy looking stuff. I mean the cans are good quality but there are others just as good and well made but even the accessories like hangers attract a premium. What do the panel think?

Yep,yer Akra's are expensive.I'd love a pair of the new hexagon shaped cans:cool:But the price,............thick end of a grand!:eek::eek::eek:

Falcotone they are dear cans, but well worth it had em on my last few bikes and are very high end quality cans, made and tested for each model to improve power & weight, not just a can and a link pipe but a precision engineered exhaust system. Worth every penny dude! Get some on ebay brill - BOOMBOOMSHAKESHAKETHEROOM as Will Smith once sang ;)

Slurp,...drool!

would agree wi build an materilas quality. Ah drove thru all last winter oan salty roads an they still shine up like new, no pittin or tarnish. Shame cannae say same fur nuts n bolts oan the bike!

Rico, you're right, most bikes won't stand up to the British (or similar other country) winter weather, cept my 955i Triple which jsut laughed of road salt and molasses gunge ;/

I heart those hex caps. I was going ot settle for something different but then knew that I'd be wishing for the Akras the entire time. So, am now waiting until I have enough OT to plump for the Akkies. Should be by the time I get that new Factory...

Arrow are the 'official' Aprilia can boys these days. So I read yesterday anyhoo.

Oh no, better change me cans quicksharp like. Not!

If I was gonna change, I'd go for the Mivv GP shorties, but not sure they're so good on map 2? Oh no don't start another fuel map thread...

Well, I paid £170 for a mint pair of Scorpion **** and I'm most pleased with them. They sound great even with baffles in. I've had a few Scorpions in the past and they've always been good.

When did Aprilia change to Arrow? Or is it just a sponsorship deal with Alitalia for their WSBK team? I STILL like the idea of "Akkie Genuine Aprilia Racing" pipes.

Have a look at Pipewerx ... they are extremely well made, British and sound the absolute nuts

Just ask our resident can whore, nobster. How many has he played with so far? And WTF does he have on there now?

Cats are made of the hardest stuff in the world. You can drill them out. Loads of 5mm holes around the diameter then a I use a small wood chisel to join the holes up and with a bit of huffing and puffing they will come out. You can bash them out with a stick on the ground and smack the cats on it. To be honest removing the cats achieves little except losing weight. They sound and run almost identical with or without. I've been leaving them in on the last couple I did. Or you could drill a 1 inch hole straight through, but it'll take a while and bugger up the bits, even using a cutting lube.

I love Akras, don't love the price.

Well pleased with my Mivv GPs, look great, sound the bollix, and just over £400 new - bargaintastic :thumbup
