akra twin set up

Does anyone know if the exhausts on a twin akra set up are different dimensions or just two single side race cans put together? Hope this makes sense! Cheers Dave

the cans seem to be the same dimensions both sides matey.

Cheers mate, what I'm getting at is if one from your 2 - 2 setup was crash damaged could you replace it with a single akra ti can from a 2-1 set up

both of mine measure 60mm - there were 2 systems made by Akra one being 52mm for the road and 60mm evolution race system

so in answer I guess you could if it's the same bore but the can would end up showing the seam line from the inside unless you turn the end caps around and replace the decal

Have you damaged one of your twin akras? I've got a right hand akra off a later rsv / tuono which I think is 52mm if it is any good to you.

No mate, there is a full system on ebay and one can is fooked so was wondering if I could replace it with my akra

Mine are 60mm evo unit. I believe the difference can be found on the ring by the rivets around the muffler that say "for race use only"

...I could be wrong about that tho.
