I have an o3 mille r,power commander, evolution airbox,kn etc. After having the bike dynoed the kind gentleman asked me if I had changed the air tubes and collector box,i replied no i hadnt he recommended it!!Questions I have ,what collector box do I need ,make and model, where would I get one from ,and what air tubes are needed, are where do I get them from.Or do I still run the bike in the way it is,also how easy to fit!!!Will it make more of a diffference.

Any kinds words or pearls of wisdom .thanks
murfeey.

Hi mate think they are on 2000 mod piss easy to fit i got mine from kickstart motorcycles in porttalbot think i paid 40 sqid hope this helps

these air tubes... i just had a look on my 02... i dont have any inside the ducts... are mine missing... or are they a 'added' thing !? :dunno

There are no tubes, except on the Edwards - is he talking about the inlet trumpets from the inside of the airbox that you can remove and then screw on to (on mine) the renegade plate? After having mine dynoed at Southern Cross, they suggested that if I hadn't refitted them, it would explaing why it bogged down at low revs.

Dunno about the Evo?

Can fit edwards airtubes, bet they're not cheap though.

RSVR.net do them...if you really want them that is.....someone in the know told me to save my money for something else......!!!

And I was thinking a evo airbox is a open type of airbox so the ramair effect would be less important.
About the snorkels, they schould be there, remove them is better as less restictive.

Item 14 on this pic.

Just get the collector boot, I paid 55 euro new.
Forget the snorkels, just do without em.
First step is exhaust.
Next step would be a semi custom Eprom :devious

Yeah, semi custom Eprom :devious

I ordered an early air collector from RSVR.net a month ago - STILL waiting on delivery :roll Emailed them and they say its on back order from Aprilia, so looks like it might arrive by the time i can afford an RSV4.

tubes and box

So the collector is a must but forget the tubes?,next question changing the eprom ,will that need pro fitting? or ready to fit ?and ride also with the eprom who is recommended, done a basic search quite a few out there also with the power commander will it need re dynoing.

cheers murf.

Early model rubber boot makes a big difference with ie-K&N air filter, and performance chip and can. If you fit a Power commander make sure it is a PC3 USB, and it doesn't matter what chip you have in it but you will have to get it dyno tuned by the best person possible. With the USB commander the tuner can map each cylinder individually for best results.:thumbup

HELP!! Right completely confused:(!! lol

I've got the Evo airbox that seals to the bottom of the tank...and did think about the Edwards airtubes.....but are people saying they're not worth it???.....and I should actually remove the original tubes???

Plus what's the air collector thats referred to???....modding is a complex business lol;))))

DrRossis post on page 1 of this thread shows you should remove item number 14.
If youve got money to burn get edwards air tubes, if not dont give them a second thought.
Here is a thread about the early version air collector CLICK LINK mine eventually arrived after a month.

Cheers....as I've a 2000 Mille I guess I already have the best air collector

Dr Rossi's post has confused me as I have the Evo box which seals to the bottom of the tank so is not 'open'...or is it??? (terminology problem here..it is open until you put the tank back down! ?? lol)....as a guess I'd imagine the Edwards scoops would work as forcing air into a bigger 'sealed' air box???
Sorry..having a bit of a dense moment with this!
