GOOD MORNING :)
I've installed Oxford heated grips on my Tuono 1100 factory.
Not happy with them I am going to take them off ,£40 quid wasted.
Can't use the OEM grips because I've cut them to make these fit :D
I might buy a new pair of OEMS
but maybe there are better options out there , better grips ?? Anyone ??

Hi Bart , i fitted a pair of R n G heated grips on my gen 2 not long after purchase , done 8000 miles with ,em fitted and not had any probs with them.

One thing i did tho is buy a set of original grips inc throttle tube to replace the heated grips with for when i sell the bike on .

You need to use proper good quality specific grip glue to fix the heated grips on with , as the heat build up just softens ordinary thixofix type stuff with the resulting obvious problems .

I have had the r&g ones and thought they were pretty poor. If you want cheap but good for the money buy snug grips. two wheels sell them for half price. The best grips by a country mile for warmth is definitely oxford sport/touring range. Much warmer than any other make.

I am not going to get another heated grips, I think I am just after top quality standard grips :)

You will probably end up having to go back to stock due to the recess in the left hand grip to accommodate the APRC control housing.

I have seen on AF1 a post where a guy took a dremel and ground a recess into aftermarket grips so that it butted right up against the TC controls. Without doing that I don't think you will get aftermarket grips back into the stock position and will end up with an unsightly gap between the end of the grip and the TC buttons.

Hi Bart, curious what you didn't like on the Oxford grips. I had them on my last bike (Z1000) and was going to get the same set for my 1100RR.
