Adjustable footrest/rearsets/wonky leg

Has anyone fitted or know of any adjustable footrest/rearsets that can move the left footrest slightly lower than standard on a 2001 RSV? Having smashed my leg and especially the knee joint many years ago on an LC, the dreaded osteo-arthritis is sinking its claws in deeper. My knee (heavily modified in the crash) is fully bent at about 110 degrees and painful! If i could reduce the bend by a few degrees I could ride much longer without having to get off an hobble about every 3/4 of an hour or less. I'm not ready to ride old man bikes or consider giving up my RSV. Ideas appreciated thanks.

There are many adjustable ones about but not many go down from stock just up or back

I think Griff's (Aprilia performance) rearsets go an inch in any direction which should help.

Sounds promising, thanks Spoonz. I'll give the man a ring. Was wanting to get a few things checked/set up (suspension sag, throttle bodies, co2 check etc) so a few birds with one stone so to speak, cheers chap.:thumbup

Fella, I've a more drastic but ultimately better solution, unicompartmental knee replacement! Had 1/2 my knee replaced a couple of years ago due to exactly the same deterioration reasons as yourself, genetic osteo arthritis exagerated by a "youth" spent racing & crashing LC's. Whilst I still haven't got full mobility at least now the leg bends to 90% of what it should & I can walk more than 200 yards without pain.

Not really that helpful, but it is a solution :dunno

Actually PaulW thats very helpful, as its the road I ultimately have to go down and is actually overdue. I've not really heard many glowing reports of knee replacement and was told to literally wait until I was in a wheelchair before considering the op because the surgery and types of replacement joint, techniques etc were getting better all the time. This injury is from 20 years ago and now our damp winters are almost unbearable.Other injuries aside, my knee was smashed in such a way that the outside of the joint(left leg) broke off and moved up.I lost the kneecap. So One side of the joint is only supported by cartlage and scar tissue! So the joint flexes a bit (bi-lateral flexation) add to this the osteo-arthritis in the joint and flex-"AAARRGH"...flex-"****"! Hobbling with a stick! So to hear from someone who has had the surgery is very encouraging as this type of thing can eat into your brain if you let it! Thanks for your reply!:thumbup
