Adjustable bars for 08 Factory

Guys,
Has anyone ever fitted any adjustable handlebars to their Mille either using Helibars, Gilles Variobars, or suchlike? My knees are playing up and even with gilles rearsets fitted I am finding pressure on my wrists a bit excessive at times, so looking for a milder option rather than selling the bike on.
If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate some advice / thoughts.
Cheers.:D

Hi Nutty,

Not done the bars, but have got dodgy knees too so have fitted Griffs rearsets and also made a set of adaptors that lower the rearsets by bout another inch. And we all know the extra inch really matters.

I have the prototypes spare if you fancy them or could even get a second set of adaptors made up.

Look on the AF1 forum a guy has fitted the APEX [About £160 delivered from the states] bar risers they look pretty good fitted, much neater than other risers. Im sure the factory forks are 51mm

2 things you could try are

1: Stomp grip pads, [40 quid] since fitting these on the tank i have been able to grip the tank and hold my body up at times to aleviate the wrist problem
2: Do you have a double bubble fitted? If so bin it as its stopping the wind helping to keep you up

Red joker on the AF1 forum also makes lowering plates about £60 quid delivered, Ive got those aswell. I did get cramp till i got these

I would say the further back your legs the more weight on your arms so the rearsets/jack plates may help the cramp but not the wrists

over on the griff site (aprilia performance) one of the lads has put his clip ons on top of the yoke ,think his name is "throwback" on there.....

Thanks guys for the feedback, I've tried the stomp pads and didn't really get on with them, too much damage to the inside of my leathers! I might have a go with the Gilles adaptors, so will let the forum know what gives.
Cheers all.
