Hi, im new on here and im just about to buy a RSV4r aprc and seem to be finding different views on whats required if i choose to fit a race exhaust on the bike.
I mentioned to the Aprilia dealer that at some point i'd like to fit an Austin racing slip on and he said that it would make the bike run lean and damage the engine, so i did a bit of research and i keep reading that a Aprilia race ecu is required if you fit any race slip on exhaust.
However, on Austin Racings website it claims that no re-map is required.
can someone tell me what is the truth?
cheers
Cant wait to get the bike!!

Hi,

I fitted an Austin Racing end can to both my RSV4R and then to my RSV4 APRC SE. I've had no issues regarding lean running. I contacted Austin racing prior to purchasing these silencers and no re-map is required and no mention of engine damage. In saying this my APRC SE was returned to the dealer this morning as it will not start. Mine is not an isoalted case!!!
