Can any recommend a puncture repair kit that we can carry in the rear seat hump. I am after one of those emergency things that will get you back on the road when you are in the middle of nowheres -ville.

I assume this is connected with your other thread about breakdown services?

I've only ever put the instant seal stuff in a bike and I didn't test that so I can't personally recommend any product. All the bike supplier type companies do this stuff, here's 2

I have used the green gunk stuff (slime)that goes and stays in your tyre and it works a treat as i found out when i had a nail in there. Tyre garages dont like it as it makes a mess when changing tyres.

yeah it makes a right mess, get any repair kit from demon-tweaks, hein gerike or the like
Ck

we sell holts tyre weld or comma tyre weld at work and get good feedback, will be taking some to france with me next month. Have seen the slime but never tried it

The good thing with slime is that if you get a puncture whilst out riding your not going to get that scary moment when everything starts sliding around. You do need to check the tyre now and again for nails etc, but its much safer using it. Who gives a **** if the garage does not like it. Your safety over there clean hands ?????
At £8 a bottle its certainly worth it.

Green gunk mate the way ahead had a few nails in tyres removed them and cracked on....even used one of the tyres on Brands after removing a nail..... like mentioned tyre dealers don't like it when changinfg them but thats what they get paid for...:thumbup

i carry a repair kit (rema tip top rep & air)
i think m&p are doing them about £20

i use safety seal. they are a plug system that is inserted from outside the tyre. only available in America, but are considered a permanent repair. not a temporary repair like the Metzler kit. got mine when visiting my brother in the states. :thumbup

I suffered a flat tyre on Friday, moments after having a bit sport on with my mate on his 08' Blade, I had to use Tyre Weld from a can, got me home then new tyre straight on.........
