Well I have been contemplating boshing in my RSV for a ZX10R :pirate:pirate:pirate I mean I really was, am still well you know what I mean.

I gets to the dealer and he softens me up with the Sprag clutch frailitys and tells me how the last Aprilia he had cost him lots etc. etc. etc....

The more he is talking the bigger a *** he is looking, (why is it that dealers think that customers are clueless) I told him that hey I bought this bike after doing a lot of research online and have made sure that I followed the starting and charging processes and had never had a problem.

The bottom line is after offering me 2700 against the Ninja I left to have a think. I rode the bike home and she reminded me of why I liked her in the first place, physically she is a big bike, pulls like a train, drops into corners and makes me feel special.

I just may keep this thing :D

Too right............keep the mille the ZX10 has no character no feel and you wont want to wash it too often.

i will never go back to a sewing machine 4 again they are boring, characterless and ten a penny, yeah there fast top end and all that but no noise ;-( . i think you have answered your own question about weather your gonna keep it or not . i hope you make the right choice pal.

:D, I think the issue is I just dont know how to ride the bloody thing, I am lucky in that I have a Busa as well so any gear, any revs off she goes :) the RSV requires much more thought...

You need to change the front sprocket then Eeza, i keep mine in 6th all the time, and it has more then enough grunt to pass most things.

Now thats an Idea the lad in the bike shop said do that and it will be transformed......

A lot cheaper too.... :)

ditto above ,i had a bit of a lapse last year

i had an 02 rsv for 3yr thought a change would be good , so i bought a R1
a bike i had always wanted ..........3 months later part ex it in for an o3 rsv :thumbup

the R1 was everything it should be but there was no character no soul and after a couple of weeks no fun strange init :dunno

a lot happier on italy`s finest :doug

Go 16/44 tooth Eeza if you haven't already and you'll fall in love with your bike BIG TIME :inlove
:doug

Cant believe you havent changed the gearing boy, get it sorted :rant

This is begining to sound like a plan cos my bike is lovely, heres a piccie with my 6.4 Son, (who likes the bike better than the Busa :) ) He is a design student at Newcastle Uni and said " Its a bike that is a sum of exotic european components assembled into a stunning frame and swing arm...."

Nuff said :D

What fookin shoes are they???

Dude get the gearing sorted, try B&C Express http://www.bandcexpress.co.uk/
and get hold of boyler for some carbon mudguards front and rear, that would look well trick

christ he's got long legs ............. he makes it look like a 400 there :biggrin ........... if you're gonna chop it in mate at least get summat like a crossplane cs R1 :thumbup

I am lucky to have a fair few bikes (I'm too lazy to sell and then can't be bothered haggling with someone on price when I know I'll never get much in the 1st place ............... :confused that sounded a lot better in my head ... hopefully you get what I'm saying) anyways I like my Mille because it handles like a dream and has torque galore, R1 puts a smile on my face when I hoon it, T595 is the best all round compromise between the 2 and the husky is just an animal. So that said if you want something that looks the part, handles sweetly and has torque factor nine (now thats cheesey ehhh ;) )then its gotta be the Mille mate :thumbup

His shoes yea I guess its a sign of your age when you look at them and think, maybe not :D,

Well things move on as they always do and I had a chat with the Mrs (She who must be obeyed) and we are going to get another bike, so I will have a Ninja but will go for a thousand pound (max £1200 for an old 600 or a 750) bike and there are plenty of them out there, working on the principle that when I get fed up at the end of the summer and sell it. Its going to still be worth somewhere near the purchase price.

So the RSV is Staying :D The force is very strong with this one :)
